iTowns – Hartford Courant – Looking for Artwork

The Courant (and its web site, courant.com) is developing a new online community news section and Sunday tabloid called iTowns (http://www.courant.com/community/news/en/), and we plan to feature the work of local artists on the print cover. This "community canvas," as we are calling it, will showcase paintings, drawings, photography and more.

We are enthused about the possibilities and welcome your involvement.  If you have local artwork that you would like for us to consider publishing, you can send it to us as a digital jpeg file to the email address below. Works published on our covers will also be posted in an online "gallery" for an indefinite period, along with artist information and links to art association sites, if available.

If you have questions or want to learn more, please call. And thanks in advance for considering being a part of this exciting new project.

Connecticut Cultural Heritage Art Program
Serving Connecticut’s traditional artists and their communities

The Connecticut Cultural Heritage Arts Program (CHAP) serves as the state’s official traditional arts initiative. CHAP explores the rich diversity of Connecticut’s ethnic and occupational communities and artists, developing projects that help to bring their deeply rooted cultural practices and artistic expressions to wider public attention. Our collaborative work fosters preservation of traditions by encouraging tradition bearers to continue and pass on their unique cultural knowledge. Our public projects enhance understanding of the artists, art forms, histories, values, and sense of place that define Connecticut and its communities.
